Anyone here enjoy swimming or getting messy in office wear?
Inspired by others, I've recently started trying this out, and it's fantastic. The feel of an expensive designer silver silk blouse, a black leather skirt, black stockings and expensive shoes. Matched with a nice black blazer. Making sure the blouse collar is nicely folded over the blazer lapel.
Then swimming fully clothed in a pool or resting in a warm hot tub enjoying the feeling of my expensive clothing rubbing against my skin.
Who would have thought that a prom-dress forum is a great place to interact with others interested in similar ways to get the most out of our clothes - even if that label "Dryclean Only"

I love silky blouses as well and I wear them as often as I can. I've tried leggings before and its excellent how they cling to the legs, but I don't think they can replace a good pair of stockings.

Sometimes when I come home from work I go straight into the tub. My office wear is dark gray or navy blue suit and white blouse, sometimes combined with a small scarf around the neck. It is really pleasing to do this deliberately!

I've done what Simone does many times. There is no better way to come home from work, particularly on a hot day, than to soak in the bathtub or the shower.
I have never worn anything "dry clean only" into the water, as I have plenty in my wardrobe that can get wet and not ruined. There are so many washable clothes on the market, so why ruin those that you could never wear again just for an evening's fun and relaxation?
I will go into the shower or the bathtub wearing a tight top or sweater, stylish skirt, full undergarments (bra, panties,), and either garterbelt with stockings, thigh highs, or pantyhose depending on the weather and the mood. Always I keep my high heeled shoes on, although in the cooler months I've been known to get in wearing high heeled knee high boots as well.

hi karen, simone and asdf i have only swam in a pair of boots as karen described a couple of times i liked the way they felt when they filled with water.i was also wearing a long black (it figures)dress a pair of black tights and a black bra.it was fun swimming under the water with this outfit on then coming up out of the tank i was swimming in and having the whole thing sucking up and sticking to me i could see the outline of my bra in the front of the wet clinging dress that kind of added to my experience
as always
get wet stay wet and be happy

Hi Karen,
to me it is particularly pleasing when I go straight in, all the way that I am at that moment, Skirt, Jackett, full underwear etc. It is really so much fun! Also walking through the rain home is a great thing to do!

I love walking home in the rain. Somedays when the forecast calls for showers, I deliberatly park my car at the far end of the parking lot, then sometimes wander around trying to "look" for my car. Needless to say by the time I reach it, I am totally drenched.

Let me talk a bit about boots, because as Scott found out, they can be a lot of fun to get wet.
First off, as with any footwear, one must stand on a bath mat because the combination of the tub porcelin and the bottom of the shoe can be deadly. At very least, make sure any shoe or boot has some tread on the bottom to minimize the possibility you might fall and break a limb or worse.
Now, they make boots in many ways. Some have a zipper along the shaft to make it easy to get into and out of them. Ankle-high and knee-high boots with zippers usually hug the leg pretty well, but those of the thigh-high variety. Then there are what is called a "stretch" boot, which has no zipper and almost always clings fully to the leg.
What you will find when you get them wet is that those with zippers, although the zipper if fully closed, are not water or air tight. Therefore the shaft of your boots might temporarily fill with water, but it will eventually seep out through small microscopic spaces where the teeth of the zipper come together. Of course you can still enjoy the feeling of water around your foot as that part of the boot is just like wearing a high heeled shoe.
Now when we come to stretch boots this is where it gets interesting. These usually are water tight. I like to aim the nozzle of the shower head directly into the boots. They will actually begin to fill up to the top. But they don't hold out. They begin to bulge with all that water, and they become very heavy, almost like you have lead weights around your feet. Eventually the shaft of the boot can't take the pressure, and it begins to slide down your leg, below your knee. The good thing about it is that although it may appear the boots are damaged, they aren't! Simply drain all or most of the water from the boot, and it can once again be pulled up the leg to where it was before.
Just like high heeled leather shoes, high heeled leather boots can take repeated abuse like this and still be useable many times after the wetting occurs. Stretch boots are especially fun because they will return to their original state once drained and eventually dried.
To dry out boots for future use, find a place and a way to store them upside down. They will dry slower than a regular shoe will, as both the instep portion and the shaft have to dry.

I posted a while back on another section. I do it all the time. I work in a very casual office setting and usually wear a simple cotton dress or skirt/blouse, sometimes shorts or slacks and a top. I travel 20 miles each way to work every day, afternoon tempatures are warm now and in the 90's from late April to October. When I get home I park the car in the drive walk around back and jump in the pool to cool off...luckly no nosey neighbors. I just float around on a raft or paddle around in what ever I wore that day.

No damage ever...we use the "BAQUACIL" system it is a totally chlorine free sanitizing system... Now why did I try it? I've done it for years...when you are hot and perspiring the last thing I want to do is take off what I'm wearing and put something else on, so I just jump in the pool...you are going to wash them anyway.

Way to go Dianne! Would love to hear what some of your outfits consisted of.... just to let others know that it is safe to wear most items into the pool.
To be honest though, I once actually did ruin a blue miniskirt that I wore into an in-room hotel pool. I did not figure on it being heavily chlorinated. The royal blue colored skirt was pretty nice and went with a lot of tops of various colors, but when I came out of the water it was a pale blue that matched nothing. Even though this was a washable skirt, it did not stand up to the chlorine. Lesson learned!

I have written about a gown that I got wet at New Years in the other section in a pool and nothing happened. I was at a party last October and did not have time to change. All the women were in dresses or casual sports ware. I did feel a little funny in a slacks suit with a tight black turtleneck sweater but after a bit I took off the jacket and milled around. I was with this guy but we were not that close. After the meal and some drinking, one woman got pushed in the pool and she just remained ther getting drinks served to her. After a bit several others guys and gals joined her. I went over to the pool with a drink in hand and you guessed it a little bump and I was in. Swimming in slacks was pretty easy and the feel of the wet clothes was a nice sensation like being encapulated. I walked up the steps to get out and even with a bra I was quite revealing. I guess I turned red a bit. Like to do it again but not be pushed as long as it is not cold. The clothes did fine. The suit is a grey poly/wool and dried quickly with no color shift. The sweater was a black cashmere and had no effect by the pool but then it has been washed in woolite several times. . I still wear it....

Sometimes I take the shower without undressed when I returned home from work. Now I`ve been thinking of my purse and all stuff in it; my money, cell phone, make up, etc... should I bring my purse into the shower?? The phone will be destroyed but the thought of destroying something expensive make me really horny. Has anyone else done something like that?

With the casual office these days I would like to know what one feels about what is office wear? I would never get a cell phone wet or my money . I never had though about swimming with a purse. This is a new deminsion for me. I guess I am learning all types of things about clothes and water. My off ince waer is usually pants suits, sweaters and blouses. Some times a dress but most of the time the former.

Michela, I've brought my purse into the pool (post prom dips)just as I've kept my heels and all on. But in my case my phone wasn't in there, just some make up and stuff like that. Of course it's up to you how you feel when it comes what to get wet. You can bring your purse in with everything inside, or take out the phone first, or leave it all outside. I guess it would depend on how often you do stuff like that too. It would get really expensive if you'd start ruining phones all the time, but if it's some special one off occasion maybe you could go for it if that adds an extra thrill for you. What have you been wearing for it so far ?

I just don't understand why some one would take a purse and cell phone in the pool on their own...Now if you get pushed in or thrown in that's differant.
When I jump in fresh from work I kick my shoes off and jump in with what ever I'm wearing that day. Sometimes I stay in for only a few minutes, just long enough to cool-off and sometimes for an hour or more.

Hi,
Interesting stuff on here and a lot of you girls DO seem to like to get a shower straight after work in your work attire. My idea of office wear is a nice tailored suit with a frilly white blouse with a tie thingy that hangs down over the blouse. That is so sexy, and even better wet. Hope this thread continues.

Dianne, well I wouldn't go and get my phone just to bring it for a swim either. But I could see it going in with me if I'm at a party and I'd just go in at the spur of the moment, plus as you said, if you get pushed or thrown in you've no choice and I wouldn't get mad just because my phone got wet. My purse I could bring along just for the fun of it though - I'd my purse with me last time when I jumped in after the prom.

Chris; This was the fashion awhile back but I think things have changed. Do you have a favorite blouse besides the tie thing? I still do a lot of pants suits to work they are just easier. Not much on the shower thing but it has happened when really pooped out. Don't you think snug pants are sexy when wet?

Cotita,
Yes, I know my fave suit and blouses thing was a while back but it would still be nice to see them come back somedays. 70's stuff is all retro over here in England so maybe 80's and 90's frilly blouses will make a come back who knows.
And yes, I do think snug pants as you call them are sexy. On a nice slim petite girl, black trousers made with a touch of lycra that fit the bum on a girl perfectly are very very sexy, wet or dry. I do like Satin pant suits aswell but maybe they are not in fashion!!!!!!.
I am 34 and still stuck in the 80's I'm afraid. I thought it was a great decade!!!!.

Chris X; Well office fashions do change and today they are much more casual. Everything today has lycra since the sizes are all small, medium and large. I think you would like my suits over the "bum" as you call it. I do wear skirts too usually the straight type for work but different types for play. Have gotten a few wet at times. You like only petite girls? Satin pant suits are in fashion and I have several. I usually ware them for a more formal occasion. Never got one wet though.
The 80's were great but we are now in 2006 and this is just as great.

Dianne,
You've just come home from work, and you want to swim. Who has the time to kick off the heels?
You've just removed a very important part of your whole outfit, and it ruins the image to take them off. If you're getting dressed in the morning and you think it may be a hot day during which you might end up in the pool after work, then wear leather pumps to work that can stand getting wet.
Now this whole thing with the purses, well I've never seen one that is air (or water) tight. A loaded purse has to sustain some serious damage. Gone would be all makeup, lipstick, etc. Feminine hygiene products would be rendered non-absorbent :) If by chance I was going to bring a purse into the pool (and I wonder how I would swim with it in my hands or over my shoulder), I would probably carry an empty one.

Cotita, Yes 2006 is brilliant as the whole world has opened up and people can chat to each other from anywhere in the world. Of course there will be people who abuse it but the vast majority are honest, law abiding people.
Anyway, less of that.
I do find petite women very cute and I suppose its because I am quite tall, 6ft 1ins but I do like taller ladies and it is a certain thing that attracts me, could never tell you what it is, just chemistry I suppose. Not that I have had much chemistry going on lately (boo!!!!!!!) so I suppose I am in the marketplace!!!! (ahem).
Love the talk on here, that lasses can freely talk about getting wet etc as girls are usually more private than men, and its great that you share your clothed wetlook experiences on here.
I have never ever had the chance to share for instance a wet clothed bath with a girlfriend or to smother a fine suit or gown in chocolate sauce but I suppose that is still a fantasy of mine.
I do love satin pant suits and they do look very sexy wet so maybe you could try that yaself and tell us how it went.
Are you tall then Cotita or are you petite????.
I suppose all I've ever wanted is to be wanted and loved, and am quite an old romantic so my search will go on for Mrs Right!!!!!, whoever or whenever she hopefully turns up.
Keep writing all on here, it is a great forum.

Chris; Your note was quite interesting in that you like petite woman (I am 5'4") but you go out with taller ones too. At 6'1 one would expect you to fancy about 5'8" But then height does not the person make.
Who is Mrs.? or Miss right for you. Do you only visualize women who get there clothes wet? Do you find this sensual and sexy? What makes you a romantic? You still like the fashions of the '80s I assume which was when you were a teen no? I move along although there are basics which every woman feels comfortable that she adopts and builds a wardrobe around. They are different for each person. Do you work in an office with women that wear office attire that you mentioned?

Chris; With all that you have said, I am a little perplexed as to why you would like women in wet office wear? Is it a fantasy of yours? Tell me about the knickers thing I am not familiar with the meaning of the word. Are they bloomers? You have mentioned that you would take some time as to introducing her to an interest in her getting wet with clothes . I am not sure from what planet you come. This is just a natural thing and not someting you have to prepare one for I think. There are so many opportunities that come with relationships like rain, beach, pools rivers , picnics, car washings, I can not believe you make it so formal as to wait until you are a commited couple to have a go at getting wet. What about that picnic along the river in the summer with that good bottle of chardonnay where you decide you either go skinny dipping or go in fully clothed. Taking the latter, you emerge all cooled off and you may make love on the blanket or you may not. Tell me why you are waiting and not designing a program to meet the Mrs. Right?. Do you think by waiting that she will magically appear all wet?

Chris X; I come from the USA and I do not have a problem with getting wet. It never appeared weird to me especially with someone that you know and you know it turns them on. Now I am not for the drowning office wear every night but after a very hard and sweaty day a pool dip does feel good and the clothes need washing or dry cleaning anyway. I do fall in occationly too. I have had a couple of guys think that it is strange if you focus on it but if it just there like washing the car in jeans and tops and just spraying each other, what is so bad about that? Now tell me why you have not been involved with a lassy(sp) (are you Scot?) lady? Tell me about your former girlfriends/wives etc.. Did they get wet in office wear? I am single but a widow. Knickers are knee length pants with stockings I think no? What do you mean about shy around women? Are you a good conversationalist? Maybe you do not like to listen Women like men that listen. Do you work in the fashion industry?

Karen,
I'm not doing an underwater fashion show,(LOL) just looking for some quick relief, and YES, I have done the shoes many times, usually when I am wearing hose.
My office is very casual except for special event meetings (suits or blazer required). I usually wear a simple dress or khaki's and a top, sometimes even jeans. I prefer a lighter weight material and just love cotton.
I did (last Summer)some river tubing, where you ride on an inner tube down the river. I wear jeans and tennis shoes to protect your feet and skin from the rocks. Quite an experience.

My girlfriend Heather and I also have a pool and, especially in the summer, just jump in after work in our business clothes. We have pretty high shrubs, so are not concerned about neighbours. When she wears heels, boots, whatever, she keeps them on. She does not bring her purse in with her, nor I my wallet.
Dianne, we do the tubing thing as well. Nothing like wet jeans. fantastic!
